Welcome to Westview Elementary

Dear Westview Family,

I am honored to be joining the Westview team as your new principal for the 2014-2015 school year!

As always, our faculty and staff promise to help your child excel to his/her highest potential during the 2014-2015 school year. Remember, parent involvement is vital to a child’s success in the classroom. We view education as a team effort. The faculty and staff use their professional training and different teaching methods to achieve these goals, but they also need parent support. I have included some thoughts that parents may evaluate to help provide that needed support.

  • How can I help further what my child learns in the classroom?
  • Remind him/her often about the importance of an education.
  • Have dinner as a family and discuss what your child learned that day.
  • Ask if he/she received a homework assignment.
  • Meet your child’s teacher.

Visit the Westview Elementary website regularly to stay up-to-date with what’s going on at our school.

Sincerely,

Bruce Smith

Bruce Smith, Principal
